| Article number: kb-4 | Q. How do I get rid of deleted messages from WebMail?
A. You have two options. You can either hide the deleted messages, or have them automatically put in a trash folder. With both methods, you will still need to periodically "Purge Deleted" to empty them out of your mailbox permanently and free up space in your mailbox.
To hide the messages:
1) Click "Hide Deleted" - this only hides the deleted messages form your Horde Webmail inbox, you will still need to periodically click the link next to it called "Purge Deleted" to permanently remove those messages.
To automatically move your deleted messages to a trash folder:
1) Click the Options button. (on the top navigation bar)
2) Click "Deleting and Moving Messages"
3) Check the box next to "When deleting messages, move them to your Trash folder instead of marking them as deleted?"
4) Select the folder you want them moved to - usually "Trash" or "Create new trash folder".
5) Click save options.
That's all there is to it!
